Vietnam Prime Minister has approved the master plan for the Moc Chau
National Tourism Zone's development by 2020, Vision 2030.
Located in the Son La Province, the 206,150ha zone will be developed as a key tourism area of the province as well as of the whole midland and northern mountainous region.
The Moc Chau National Tourism Zone will reach the target of luring more than 1.2 million tourists by 2020, and three million tourists by 2030, of which 50,000 will be foreigners.
The plan also aims to gain a turnover of VND1.5 trillion (US$71.5 million) by 2020, and VND6 trillion ($286 million) by 2030.
In the near future, the zone will focus on developing three major tourism sites, namely the Moc Chau resort, an ecological tourist centre and an entertainment complex.
